What about some sort of bottom dweller? Like a gobie or a blennie? Some dig so your rocks must be on the bottom of the tank or they could topple the rocks...

This lawnmower blenny doesn't dig and he eats nuisance algae:

I happen to love firefish. They're beautiful, have personality and peaceful. I would also suggest maybe a six line wrasse (mine ate nori), maybe a flame hawk or a dragon goby.

Which fish to get

Just one comment about the six-line wrasse - it needs to be the last fish in your tank. As lovely as they are, they can be very "scrappy" and can dominate the tank - so if you ever want to get anyone else, it may be tough.

I have one, and know what I am talking about; as much as I like him, I am currently trying to determine if I want to keep him or if I need to loan him back to my LFS until I have fully stocked my tank. This goes on the theory that if he's the last fish in, he won't harass everyone who comes to live in "his" tank. I recently upgraded from a 29 to a 92, and he believes he is the emperor in that tank...and he's hard to catch!

Also, they do eat bristle worms...but mine also picks at all the rocks, so I don't know that I have much of a copepod/amphipod population at all any more. :? [/quote]
