Hey John, any full tank shots lately (like I'm one to ask :P)?

Not recently. I just had to redo all the rockwork because I had to empty the tank out to catch a couple of fish that were getting too big. So I need to do some new full-tank shots.

Hey Sharkky, another great shot.

Could you tell me about how you lighted this shot? Did you take it with the tank lights off with some light from the side by chance? Also, did you use your submerged camera trick?

Thanks,
Mike

This is tank-lights only. In order to get in there, I had to push the light toward the back of the tank, so this is actually taken pretty much sideways. The front of the tank is toward the darker area of the photo. You could achieve basically the same effect with an off-camera flash fired into the front of the tank. And yes, this is with my housing on the macro lens so the lens is actually below the surface, about two inches from the frag.
