white sea slugs- cool or not?

Postby Guest » May 8th, 2001, 7:51 pm

I bought 10# of live sand (Keys?)and noticed one 3/8" slug. It is white on the bottom and "antique" white on top. That was two weeks ago. today, there are about 50 little slugs. I haven't seen them bothering anything yet, but if anyone has any experience with them (good or bad)please let me know. Sorry, no digital camera until Christmas so no pics!

Are you sure they are slugs and not stomatella snails. They look like slugs with a smooth "half shell". Try touching them on the back to see if they have a shell. Alot of times it is the same color as the body.
