First Creature from my live rock

Postby gwilcom » March 30th, 2008, 8:57 am

Tank is now 2 weeks old and I have found my first hitchhiker. If I could get a little assistance in identifying what it is that would be great! At night it sort of shrivals up but when the lights are on it swells right up with water. It's no bigger that a nickel and I see 1 other on the same branch coral.

Thanks all[/img]

Troublesome Hitcher

Postby gwilcom » March 30th, 2008, 7:29 pm

I have done some research and found that this is a very UNDESIREABLE tank inhabitant. I also found 3 different ways to get rid of it, Joe's Juice. Aiptasia control and boiling water. I'm looking for feedback now on which is the best. Can anyone help me out?

it's personal preference. i happen to like kalkwasser paste in a syringe.

you could take the rock out real quick and hit it with some bioling water. you said there's nothing else alive in the tank, right?
