waving cross, moves like inch worm????????

Postby Guest » May 14th, 2001, 11:37 pm

Sorry,

These little guys are to small for a pic but very unusual.

Looks like a very small cross shape with two antena? or maybe two curved jaws? at the top.

They attach to the rock with the "tail" portion and then wave around in the water like an "algae". When I turn the rock or force them to move, they move easily.

What struck me as really weird is they move like an inch worm raising the back up in a hump and then stretching out and forward.

Put a new peice of live rock and new type of calerpa in the sump last week so not sure which they came from.

Anyway I think they are neat, but safe???

Thanks

If so you can get a lot more information from this site.

Thank you Greg,

The pod pictured is really, really close to what I have. Maybe the same.

Based on the note under the pic, hope they don't eat the other pods in my refugium!
