Tribalism ...

Postby cortez marine » October 15th, 2008, 5:04 pm

I have seriously never been a proud, pro-American as it suggests that somehow one deserves credit for being born.
If anyone should get credit [ or blame] ...its my mom.
I could only take credit if I had something to do with it...which I did not.
She was American, but.... I was born in England. It could've been Nepal.
So I should be proud of being born in British air or of the fact that dad was in the army and stationed there?
The U.S. military? But I turned into a consciencious objector during the war in Viet Nam.
Oh now I'm confused and don't know what to be proud of.

Take pride in what you do, not where you do it.

I went by this shop the other day and they hardly had any stock left and it looks like they did not find a buyer so they close on the 31st of December. This was the largest store in NC.

Honestly, how does he expect a buyer to appear when he himself stated that a 10,000 sq ft store is not 'in style' with the current market trends???

It's like your stock broker tell you that your stock is going to fall but we recommend you to buy it. LOL

They were trying to find someone to sell to who would move to a smaller location. I have not heard of any buyers.

I am curious what other store in NC has 10,000+ square feet?

Looks like their website now says business as usual with some exciting changes coming in 2009. Hopefully they are moving out of the shopping center they are in. Nothing like being stuck between a dollar store and a pawn shop.
