I would be willing to bet that the LFS had a delivery company bring the freight to them rather than the LFS employee.

Sort of looks like they sent this one on the cheap.

That's what I thought at first too - because that would make sense if a courier didn't know what he was picking up.

I worked in the courier business for years - so that much wouldn't surprise me But according to the reports it was the store's employee that made the pickup.

Mitch, they don't ship 'em in the fancy for show casket. That looks typical of what I've seen at the airport, although usually there isn't a pallet/tray underneath. If it was put on with a forklift that would explain that, but usually they have a special device used to move the caskets and it rolls, it is not "driven" like a fork lift.

Dead Body Shipped to Pet Store Accidentally

Maybe in the past you've received mail that doesn't belong to you. But it's hard to top this: a pet store ended up on the receiving end of a dead body. The pet store is in Philadelphia. It was expecting a shipment of tropical fish. Instead, the store ended up with a crate meant for LifeQuest Anatomical in Allentown. Inside that crate was the body of a man from California. It had been donated to LifeQuest for research purposes. WFMZ's Joscelyn Moes has the story. Reporter Employees of this Pets Plus store in Philadelphia were expecting a thousand dollar shipment.. three boxes.. of tropical and salt water fish. OK - I hadn't seen that particular version of the story. In both the ones I read (the one I linked and another, and the news report I saw on TV) all said they sent an employee. They said that the night before when he tried to pick up he did not have the correct ID (Usually the airline wants to see your driver's license - if he didn't have that, that's no bueno).
