One Gallon Amano?

How doable is this for a guy like me who's never kept a FW tank before? Lots of maintenance? Money? I need tips and advice from the ground up! Good websites/resources for research would be appreciated too.

If you're used to saltwater, a fw is a walk in the park - and way cheaper too!
