What Species of Shrimp is this?

Postby Guy » January 3rd, 2010, 10:48 pm

I have lots and lots of Red Cherry Shrimp but this one showed up and doesn't look anything like the rest. It's lobster red and is about 3 times the size of any other Shrimp in my tank.

Any ideas?

So, are they some kind of genetic alteration? What causes them to be so different than the others?

I guess I missed your question. I believe what you're looking at are male cherry shrimp (the big ones). I just searched on cherry shrimp and found that pic.

Put the shrimp up for sale in any FW board you'll sell quite a few.
