plastic trim rings FISH TANK NEED BAD PLEASE HELP SOMEONE

Postby dusty » January 19th, 2010, 2:53 am

I'm trying to find the plastic trim ring's for 150 gallon tall 48 x 24 x 30. I'am building my own Fish Tank and I want the OEM top and the bottom rings for the Fish Tank. I have looked all over the internet for days and days now and can not find where I can buy this item.If anyone know's where I can get the trim ring's for 150 gallons tall or has a set that anyone wants to get rid of Please let me know. Thanks and have a great day.

Hi dusty,

I've moved your post to the main discussion forum.

Unfortunately, I don't think there's anyone that sells this type of products. Also, for a tank that size, it's usually a trimless design.

you would have to order them directly via a LFS or wholesaler. You can get new Top frames but im not aware of them selling bottom frames but i wouldnt be surprised if they do....

I've had to replace top frames back in the day when the center braces broke...its a pita but in your application its a matter of gluing and setting...

Not sure what your big plan was but you do know that a frame is not needed at all.
You do need to glue glass supports in place, I’m sure someone will chime in and agree. Most tanks in Europe don't even have a frame it's just bare glass.

If you must have a frame then maybe you can have one made from wood that’s what I used on my previous tank builds.
Support the tank with glass then make a decorative wood frame.
