Help identifying this little crab!

Postby Vinman » February 1st, 2010, 2:33 am

Never noticed this little one till tonight. Caught him on my blue sponge.

Body is about 1/2 inch long. Is it reef safe?

I've include some macro pics I was able to take after I fished em out. Thanks in advance.

Never seen one like that before, but I'm going to go with a general "porcelain crab" (many species that are called porcelain crab).

Thanks for the response. I've been told that at Wetwebmedia as well. I'll put him back in the main thank then. He's supposedly just a filter feeder and he's only 1/2 inch big anyway.
