When I first got into the hobby, Eric was my hero too. I suppose, being young and niave and having been personal friends with him at one point, the disenchantment hit me harder than most (when I learned of his various mishaps). There are times I regret that, back then, I felt compelled to spread that disenchantment the way I did. Regardless, all in all, I do still believe he gave more to the hobby than he took.

I do hope he gets well.

In the last 5 years I have learned that everyone has mishaps, and that we need everyone working at moving things forward regardless of any personal feelings. :D

Eric took time to answer every pm I ever sent him and went out of his way to be helpful - thanks E
a large reason I stayed in the hobby was from early acknowledgements and help from Eric
