quick question on ich and the reef

Postby reefsetc » March 30th, 2002, 5:28 pm

What is the best non-copper treatment to destroy ich in a reef? I have a friend with this problem and kick-ich and derivitives don't seem to work. I am trying to help him as he has no internet access yet and I am out of suggestions. Chemmarin's products don't seem to work either. He would like to keep the temp and salinity the same and would prefer a quick acting chemical. This tank uses a 40w uv as well. Cleaner wrasses and shrimps have also been deployed over time.
Thanks, reefs-etc. (vze2ymtq@verizon.net)

I'd have to say that I know little about treating fish for diseases.
