NEW Reefs.org / Frags.org Collaboration for Frag Trading!

Postby liquid » April 27th, 2003, 10:54 pm

Fellow Reefkeepers:

Reefs.org is proud to announce that we have partnered with Frags.org to deliver an online community for the buying, selling, and trading of propagated coral fragments.

This new site is completely free and provided as a community service. It can be accessed directly from the Reefs.org site or can be visited directly at: http://frags.reefs.org/

We need your participation to make this free community service a success. Reefs.org's and Frags.org's goal is that you will join this community along with your peers by adding your frags if you propagate your corals -- and by contacting these frag providers if you are simply a hobbyist in need of some great captively propagated corals. This will enable everyone to take full advantage of this unique service.

For coral propagating articles and information, please see: http://www.frags.org/resources.php?referer=reefsorg . If you would like to discuss coral propagating with your peers, please head over to our re-opened Coral Propagation Tips and Techniques forum located here: http://reefs.org/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=61

Why You Should Use This Service:

The world's reefs are quickly degenerating. We are sold creatures that are removed from their habitats for resale to us. In this day and age we are more than able to remove the wild caught specimen from wholesaler and local tanks and replace it with captively farmed animals raised specifically for the marine aquarist. Use this service to locate the corals you want. Propagate your own corals for others to enjoy. Save a reef... frag your corals!

Publishing and maintaining your frag inventory on the Internet has never been easier. You can easily add and modify your frag listings. Since the publishing tools are web-based, you no longer have to use complex website authoring software to maintain web pages of your inventory. Additionally, we provide free image hosting for your frag pictures.

This community offers a number of benefits to coral propagators. The three biggest benefits are: (1) increased awareness and distribution for your frags, (2) an easy way to publish and maintain your frag inventory, and (3) free image hosting for your frag pictures that are for sale or for trade.

The site acts as a new sales and trading distribution channel for you, in addition to your website or other Internet efforts. Transactions are handled between the buyer and seller. Neither Reefs.org nor Frags.org will handle any transactions for you. Your email and/or phone information is provided to any Member interested in your frags. Members can also directly access your website from this service. By using this service you are agreeing to abide by the User Agreement: http://www.frags.org/useragreement.php?referer=reefsorg .

We truly hope to see your frags on Frags.org! Join now at: http://frags.reefs.org/

Best regards,

--Reefs.org Staff and the Frags.org Staff
