Dosing Question

Postby mutley29 » August 20th, 2003, 7:50 pm

Just got my ESV 2 part through from Marine Depot, now do i need to add this stuff weekly/daily in the required doses or can i mix up a load and drip it in
My Ca is about 400ppm and i need to get my LFS to check my Ca Alk, as my tests tell me its through the roof

By the way how easy are flowerpot corals to keep

I LOVE MY TANK, better than directtv

Anton
If you can stay calm while all around you is chaos... You probably haven't completely understood the seriousness of the situation.

I answered your concern in this thread.

To say it more explicitly, don't mix them up before adding them to the tank.

Ya, if by mixing them up you mean putting the two parts together, you can't do that because the compounds are meant to be delivered seperated. You can drip the two parts seperately if you want to go that route, but make sure the dripper is really slow so you don't overdose on a daily basis (very little needs to be added each day). Read the instructions on the containers for dosing values. You can also dilute the parts with more water to drip over the course of a week, but that requires some chemical calculations (ones I'm not inclined to do :P). Personally, I'd just add it daily at the stated dosage, and seperately as the instructions say.

I love my tank too :)
