Large and powerful/efficient MH reflectors

Postby dgasmd » September 29th, 2003, 9:08 pm

As I am putting together a 10'x4'x2' tank, I have been considering the options for lighting. Regardless of what wattage I pick, I am looking for very efficient reflectors to house them.

I have seen the Diamond Lumenarc 3 reflectors. They are great. I do have a source for these, so getting them is not an issue I think.

My question is: are there any other reflectors besides the lumenarc that cover a large surface area and are very good? Industrial types? Others? Someone mentioned that R. Harker's tank does have some reflectors that are superb, but I have not been able to see a picture of them or even get their name. Does anyone know or have a link to it??

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

From the little I know on the subject, I think you've already hit the top prospect. The Luminarcs are the best I have seen and as far as I know, have tested the highest as well.

Sounds like a great tank!
