Late start if I can make it at all

Postby GratefulDiver » March 8th, 2005, 2:23 pm

Had a fire in new (girlfriends) apartment and lost much (mostly furniture, no tanks) from water damage when firefighters put out the apartment upstairs which was a total loss.

Will update with more when available.

Well, looks like the digital camera got toasted along with the palm, took me a while to find out for sure because its still half alive.. - Not bad, all things considered (2 computers saved, a few tvs/dvds/vcrs..)

Long story short, I can't take pics until I get a new cam so I'm effectively out.

And I swear that from now on I will ALWAYS have appropriate insurance(s).

Ok, well, tanks up, but I still don't have a working digital so I got no pics of the system dry. - Does that disqualify me? (Like I'm gonna win anyway.. )

Still no cam, but the tank is doing well.

Its just a standard 12g nanocube w/ a single 32w (upgrade) 50/50 on 12hr cycle.

Inhabitants:
1 nassarius
4 astrea
1 scarlet hermit
1 false perc
blue/green zoas
green center palys
pulsing xenia
green star polyps
kenya tree (capnella)
green ricordia
flatworms
aiptasia
1 adult peppermint shrimp

The aiptasia came back after getting some xenia from the lfs (yeah, I got rid of them once before.) So now I have a peppermint shrimp yet again. I also plan on picking up and adding a 6-line wrasse shortly after the lfs gets them in stock to get the flatworms trimmed down I guess (they're not too bad right now but the tank needs a little more motion / color to perk the kids interest again.)

Finally got a cam again (for xmas) but since I let the tank go a bit (in terms of "prettiness" anyway) no pics are gettin posted. ;)

Besides, everythings getting transferred into a 72 bow that Lawdawg was kind enough to give me a couple/few months back and the kids are going to start learning with some freshwater in the 12g cube (maybe.)

Oh, flatworms look like they're getting put in check with a Lemon Damnsel by the way... - 6-lines never came in, same with the Velvet Slug I was hoping for too..

Anyway... Early congrats to the winner of the build-off! - Sure 'aint gonna be me!
