Here is a night shot with the glow from a halide in the other room. The pictures display for me, I insulated the roof and walls and installed 200 sqft of viynal siding, still alot more work left than I anticipated but it will be worth it when its done.

I guess this thread should be changed to "my attached greenhouse construction log"
I cant wait to get it all done.
I'll just start another thread when I build the next one.

Not much to tell, but I did get 1 300 gallon vat up and running today. Will add another this week somtime and the 3rd the following week. This first one is'nt exactly level :D so I will probably drain it into the next one and get it a little more level.I need to drill holes to connect them anyway. Also got to connect the 180 gallon glass tank in the other room.Should finally finish this project within the next month.
The next(commercial) greenhouse will be done with some hired help...building somthing like this all by yourself in your spare time really sucks.
It "will" be nice to walk out my back door and have a nice size propagation system to tend in my spare time though. :D

Oh.That huge ASM G6 will be removed out that vat once I get a pair of large external ETS skimmers for the system.

Dont think I mentioned it but the 3 300 gallon vats will all have 1000 watt 20k halides over them to supplement the sun & will be run "only" when needed. 8O
So bring your shades if you want to check it out when I'm done. 8)

Heres a picture of the second vat,I drained the 180 gallon glass tank into it so I can drill it and connect it also to the system.
I still need to connect the vats with bulk heads after I get the 3rd one they only had the one left..I may go somewhere else and get one tomorrow.I need more salt also anyway

I used a Hammerhead pump,this runs 2 300 gallons and a 180 into a 3rd 300 gallon sump.
Works great :)

I used 1.5 " pvc for drains from the 300 gallon vats and 1.25 " from the Tank. All the bulkheads are just made from pvc fittings, there is 2 - 1.5" drains in one 300 gallon and 3 on the other, there is 2- 1.25" on the glass tank.

this is a shot of the greenhouse before the plumbing job :)

Out of curiosity, and sorry if this has been addressed, but it doesn't seem like there's much sunlight on the tanks (mostly artificial lighting), and makes me wonder how effective this is as a "green house"

U would be suprised how much light gets into the vats...enough to have to shade them.

The 180 gallon tank actualy dont get much ...but it does get some...it is mainly for display and photos of coral.

I have another greenhouse is the works that is a hoop style and will have 6ft wide 16ft long 12" deep vats...and way more sun than needed without shade.

This is just my starter system for a future larger commercial setup.

the 180 gallon also has a 400 watt metal halide and light mover over it now..I'll get a new pic later
