I guess I should give some more technical info in this post then just fun pics.

What I add to the tank:
Reef Solution 4 ml a week
DT Phytoplankton 4 ml a week
Cyclopeeze 4-6 ml a week (in dense suspension)

Top off is done with tap water treated with Prime
(Yes I am ashamed  but I haven’t had time to regenerate the ion canisters).

I use a Chemipure 1/2 unit in the output side of my overflow box.

The clowns get Ocean Nutrition prime reef and brine shrimp plus flakes and frozen mysis soaked in selcon.

The shrimp gets the flakes hand-fed (spoiled brat)

Warning: long thread follows

Ok...it's been a while since I posted anything! I know I'm slacking, but I have been busy.

Well, I have rearranged things a little in the tank. I took out the fungia because it wasn't playing nice with the other corals. It will live in the big tank until I get my 30g at the end of the month. Everything is getting moved in there then. I haven’t changed my routine much regarding the tank. I have found that my clowns like tubiflex worms though. They move around a lot in the salt water which Buzz and Widget love. My moon coral goes bazerk when any fall on it! Within 10 seconds it has its feeding tentacles out and mouths agape. It shoves them in real quick. On another note, I have this annoying hair algae that is real hard to get rid of. It isn't soft like the regular stuff that you can scrub off with a tooth brush. It's wiry and stuck fast to the rock  I have to pull it off with my hands and sometimes I can’t! That will change when my baby purple tang Nori gets a hold of it in January though  I bought a cool new clam on Thursday. It was only $59 which is a real steal for how good its coloration is. Nothing else is new though.

Here's the pics...which is really why you're here :D

You can see that really annoying hair algae in the middle of the rock in this shot.

The new clam is not quite that blue by the way. It looks rather electric in this shot.

This is Buzz who is the larger female clown. She likes to have her photo taken and tries real hard to get in the way of my shots!

And more...

P.S. for anyone who has never owned a clam here's a note: when you look down at a clam through the water from above it will appear to be one color (its true color), when you look at it from the front of the glass it will appear to be a different color. The glass bends the tank light and causes the colors to look different. This is one of the reasons why some people like acrylic tanks more; they do not cause quite as much drastic changes in appearances.

Ok, here they are. I'm not the best photographer, so some of them are a bit fuzzy or dark, etc. To be honest, I had to tweek them a little on a photo program because they turned out so dim. Sorry, I was in a hurry because my husband and I are in the process of moving. I didn't have time to take any others. I was just trying to make them look a little more like the real thing.

This is one of my favorite corals. I took a photo of the lower part of it so you can see it's new polyps. It's looking for more rock, so I'm going to try to propigate it.
