Nice. Can't wait to see the 57 gallon. How far along are you with it?

Thanks for the comments! :) Matt, I actually don't find the purple-faced helfrichis attractive at all! (especially not at whatever price they're commanding these days!)

Hyolee the 57 is not yet in my possession... It should arrive early next week. Getting a vortech to start, gonna try to transfer everything from my 30 to the 57 and go for a very very minimalist look. We'll see how that turns out... :) How's your tank coming along? updates?

I own vortechs and although I like them and ecotechs customer service is awesome, Id probably go with tunze if I were doing it over. I like everything about the vortech better except for the noise. For inwalls they are excellent but for standard living room installs they are much too noisy IMO.

How are you planning on lighting the tank? Are you going open top?

Weird. I have two MP40w's on a small tank running near 100% in ReefCrest mode, anti-sync'd, and I can't hear them unless I am right next to one of them. Tank is also in my bedroom about 8' from my bed.

yeah...I don't really hear my vortech at all either. The noise of the deltec skimmer drowns it out completely. :) I haven't decided yet on lighting... I may go with a 250w pendant but will temporarily just stick my 20" fixture over the tank until I figure out what will work/look best. JT just helped me decide that I needed a tinker butterfly in the tank. :)
