nitrates at 20ppm
nitrites at .5 ppm --- Today
calc at 500
alk at 400
ph at 8.6

Seems to be cycling fast so far, put 3 damsels in to help cycle they seem to be doin alright. Thinking about adding my cleaning crew in the next week, 2 crabs and 5 snails. Still going back and forth about what to
stock with. I got a couple of ideas but they are all very different. If I can get a hold of a mini golden moray I am goin to build around his needs.
I want to make my nano as distinctive as possible while maintaining as natural an environment as possible. If I cant get my moray I am thinking of a deep water coral tank or a mix of coral and fish, I am not sure yet.

added a blue fin dwarf lionfish to nano today. looks like a foo man choo but with different coloring.
Water quality is at
nitrates 10ppm
ntrites 0ppm

Looking forward to watching my lion eat the damsels that are in the tank now  ...hehe

Decided to go species specific for the lion fish perhaps some small softies
and some zoas transplanted from my main show tank. But as far as fish go its just the lion... Maybe (a big maybe) an mini angel

Added a wavemaker to my mj900. Getting lots of brown algea growth right now, I think it because of the light spillover from my fuge light. I am waiting for the algea to clear up b4 adding any corals. Lionfish seems to be doing well but he is THE most boring fish to watch ever :? (might as well be a plastic fish)...Just sits in one spot all day the only life you see out of him is at feeding time. Seriously considering trading for something else. beautifull fish just verrrry boring.

upgraded my lighting today 8) I now have a total of 88w of pc lighting :D
The upgrade turned out to be pretty easy still needs a little fine tuning but I am very happy.
Total Cost $52.00 inc. shipping and bulb substitution fee $5 per bulb
AWSOME deal!!!
Advertised as dual 28w ended up being dual 32w !!

Cant Complain a bit. the only snafoo was that they sent me two actinic instead of one 14k and one 10k, But I called them and they are sending me a 10k and I get to keep the extra actinic....nice

Tracking down more stock will be adding several different speceis of zoanthids acquired through trade. I think everyone is going to be Very impressed when I am done. I hope that doesnt sound arrogant, I just think my tank is going to turn out better than I ever even hoped!
If anyone has reef clubs in their areas I strongly suggest involvment
That is where I have gotten most of my stock and most times at rock bottom prices even a few freebeis! Also plenty of good ideas.

So this is my Finalized rock work and a few little zoas and a couple of cool shrooms.

Changed my mind about the blue fin. He is gone, Still undecided on what type of fish to go with. Just gonna concentrate on my corals and aquascaping for now.

Ok been a long while since I posted but I have 8O AMAZING 8O news.

My nano sits in my UNAIRCONDITIONED room it has been around 100 degrees for weeks now. I thought after all the heat my nano was going to be done for, water temps were/are getting close to 90 degrees warm to say the least.
Suprisingly the only negative effects so far have been a nasty algea bloom, but I think that was actually a combination of me removing the fuge light to try to lower water temps resulting in my macro dieing off and the elevated temp outside lately.
It has been two months, I think, I honestly cant remember the last time I did a water change and I just tested my water and its perfect, nit 0-nitrite 0- calc 500- alk 400- ph 8.3

I AM SOOOOOO IMPRESSED WITH MIRACLE MUD!!!!
it has givin my nano more stability than my 100g reef!!!
I recently pulled a sps coral from my reef system with chiller and skimmer etc. and put it in my nano because it refused to get any good color so I figured I would give it a shot, you know nothing to lose.
Like I said before I was thinking that my nano was done for with the high temps so it got a little neglected  ...
I just went to clean the glas today, still no water change...lol, and the colorless sps coral is turning the brightest baby blue I have ever seen!!!
I did not expect this!! 8O
Much lower light levels MUCH higher water temp, Needless to say I didnt really expect that the sps coral would survive let alone thrive as it is!
I am going to drop in a few more extra sps frags just to see if they do as well.

Man after this they are going have to start calling my nano setup the "bullet proof Nano"
After the color shows better where I can get a decent pic I will post an update pic.
