I would like to make a suggestion for your featured aquarium column.
It would be helpful if information was included on the age of the creatures
in the system shown (assuming that the hobbyist knows this). For example, from Terry Siegel's tank I have learned that some captive tangs can live to be 20 years but does anyone have a mandarin fish that is this old...and what about invertebrates? Do you know of any source of information for the natural lifespan of certain reef creatures? Is this very different from captive animals? Also, would an article or column having to do with aquariums older than 5 years be possible? (I know that you have addressed changes in water composition in older tanks in the past but it would be nice to go into more detail on this subject.)
