CPR BAK PAK 2r
venturi
tank size 46 gallon
pump is a MJ 1200
pretty much plug and play HOT

2nd one I have had and it is a pretty good skimmer for the size tank/bio load I have. Good skimmate.

manufacturer: All Seas Marine (http://www.asmskimmer.com)
model: G-3
type: needle wheel impeller
Pump: sedra 5000
tank size: 75 gallon
notes: Was easy to setup, is easy to adjust, and fool-proof! Good skimmage and built strong! Going with a "gate-less" gate valve mod just to keep hands dry and later will probably do a recirculating mod. :P

Manufacturer: C.P.R.
Model: CPR 2R+
Pump: MJ-1200
Tank size: For tanks up to 60 gallons (Mine is a 40 Br)
Notes: Skimmer is a bubble chop skimmer. Great skimmer, only have to get over slight micro-bubbles in tank for first couple of weeks or so, and then away it goes. Pulls great skimmate for my tank and I use it as the only means of filtration aside from water changes.
Sumpless 40Br: Softie Dominated with Clams, Empty AC 110, CPR 2R+ skimmer, 250w SE 14K Hamilton bulb, 2X39 T5's, 20G Reservoir DIY ATO, and single MJ-900.

OK, I bought a Pro-Clear 150. It looks cheaply made compared to what I see on other tanks. Its still in its packaging and I can exchange. The LFS recommended it when I was buying most of my stuff. He was trying to keep within my budget.

What do you recommend?

My set-up is...
Under construction
140g Built in 60x18x30 Dual overflows
20g sump
20g refug
1/4 JBJ chiller
return pump undecided
rest is undecided
140g Built in Reef (Build in progress)

55g Oscar Tank
20g Community tank

I saw a Tunze 9010 in operation at an aquarium store. It was almost inaudible.

AquaC Remora HOT
MaxiJet 1000
58Gal FOWLR

Have had this baby going for about 4 years (Or since they started making them) and I really like it. A little noisy, and you have got to use vinigar to clean the jet (no access) but a really, really good skimmer for the money.
