25 is nothing for a tank your size ;) I am at 13, but like you, I don't really count the neon gobies, so I have 11 fish :)

I think a tank your size could comfortably accommodate about 50 fish and not look crowded or cause any stress to any of the fish.

Well, I guess I can't keep track of all my fish :-D

Just realized as I was feeding the tank last night I have 2 ORA tank raised yellow assessors. They tend to be in hiding most of the time so I forget about them.

I'm sure there's more you forgot :P A tank your size, I'm sure there's some fish you don't see for days on end. I like those cryptic fish that gives you a glimpse only once in a while. It's like seeing a surprise every now and then.

That's it. As a representative of the UK, I nominate you for an honorary knighthood. All of you salivating supplicants say hello to Sir Sanjay, honored for services to voyeuristic aquarists. 8)

Sanjay,

How did you primarily mount the frags? Sugerglue gel, epoxy, et. ?

Greg:

Ever since you turned me on to the Deltec Epoxy that is all I have used. The ability to work it under water made it so much easier for me. Also, it seems to produce less heat than the hardware store versions I was using before and I have noticed less die off of the tissue where the epoxy meets the tissue.

Where can one acquire deltec epoxy? I'm interested! :D

I'm kind of tired of running out of it and the fish store not being open. :) And also, it's a bit expensive at the fish store.

Sanjay, which is more sturdy: the acrylic or the fiberglass rods? Also, did you go with 1/2" size? I'm supposing that PVC wasn't sturdy enough. :)

Thanks!

So how close are the polyps on that superman monti? I love and loathe macro shots because they make corals seem so vibrant and large with easy to see features, sure I'll fork over $100 for a 1/2 x 1/2" square of that... then you get it and go "ehh" that's it?

The last bunch of sticks I got from http://www.aquariumspecialty.com/catalo ... cts_id=529

That was the best price I found online.

I would recommend the fiberglass rods. The pvc and acyrlic are not sturdy enough. They are ok for short peices, less than 12 in.

I am not a big fan of macro shots either, since I am not a copepod and don't usually get that close to my corals to see the colors that are only visible in macro shots.

To me if the color is not visible from 2 ft or more, then for all practical purposes it does not exist. Some of my corals are almost 3+ ft from the front pane. I don't want to pay an arm and a leg for color that requires a copepod view to see it.

As for the superman monti, the polyp spacing really depends on how it grows. I have seen it some people's tank where the blue and red color is separate enough that you can see it. In the one frag I took pics of the polyps are further apart right now.. as it grows who knows what it will do. I got this at our frag swap for $20.. was hard to pass up. I have another peice that I have had since Jan, and it started off looking like this, but now you only see the red polyps and hardly any blue shows through the expanded polyps.

Macros tend to make the color disappear and only show brown in true macro shots :D The closer you get (with a camera), the less color you tend to see on corals.
