I used to have a Nokia N90 mobile with a Carl Zeiss 2 mega pixel camera, the picture quality was amazing on the standard settings..When you cranked the settings to max, it out did an actual 3.2 mega pixel digital camera...stunning photo quality

Hi All. I know its been a few years since this guys project.

But i am about to embark on a similar project. More as an experiment really.

I do not yet have a fully established tank, but i intend to establish one with this project.

Now you guys are measuring light in MCD, but most of the sites i have seen are measuring the light in K i.e., Typical MH is between 14000k and 20000k.

On that note i found some 3watt, 20000K LEDs, primarily the philips k2's.

Because these are quite porwful, i didnt wan to flood the tank with tooooo many LEDs.

My plan was to use 15 white and 10 blue. The blue being able to be left on on their own at night to act as a moon light.

Anyone have any thoughts?

(p.s. i am no electronics wizz, which you guys seem to be so any thoughts?)
