Drip Doser

An easy way to drop kalkwasser into your tank.

By Dean Butler

Hi, I have a tip for a reef system that works great as a dripper to dispense liquid like Kalkwasser into your tank. Go to your local pet store and get a dripper like they use for snakes to keep humidity levels up. Attach it to the back of your tank and place about a 2 inch piece of airline tubing over the metal tube to help keep it from rusting. Mix the Kalkwasser in a gallon jug, or any other liquid substance you would like to dispense, and pour it in the dripper container as it empties. This works great and costs very little. And considering how much we all have already tied up in these wonderful reef systems any tips that save money are a big help, so please pass this tip on. Oh by the way great site, keep up the good work!
