This newsletter is to keep you abreast of the new happenings at reefs.org. We have been busy lately adding some new things.
Library:
In case you missed Steve Tyree's talk last weekend, the transcript of it

A new index for the articles found at Aquarium.Net can be found at https://www.reefs.org/library/aquarium_net/
We have added a Recommended reading and video section. The new section is
organized in various topics that can be viewed with a simple click. https://www.reefs.org/library/reading/
Administrators:
We have added a couple new Administrators to the crew. Us old folk, have been joined by Leonard Ho, Bill Grimlan, Shane Graber, Sang Lee and Wade Lehman. If you see them in the chat room and or in the discussion boards give them a hearty congratulations.
Contest:
Yes, it's contest time. The goal of this new contest is to give you, our users, a shot at seeing your design on the reefs.org webpage or on the back of a reefs.org T-shirt. The current design as seen on the T-shirts, hats, mouse pads, and mugs is viewable at: http://www.cafepress.com/cp/store/store.aspx?storeid=reefs
The main logo (the front logo as seen above) will remain the same, but
we are in search of new and innovative designs for the back logo. We are
aiming for a cartoon or other funny image although other designs will be
considered.
The creator of the best image will receive a prize of a hat and T-shirt
showing their design!
Here are the rules and guidelines:

Top 10 images submitted, as selected by the administrators, become property of www.reefs.org .

Images must be at least 6 x 6 inches printable (approx 1300x1500 pixels).

If no images meet our standards, the best image turned in will still receive a prize, yet we may elect to use another image.

All entrants must be registered with the reefs.org discussion board and include their username in their submission (give link to register.)
To enter, send your entry to chaoticreefer@reefs.org as an attachment and put reefs.org contest in subject line. Contest ends June 30, 2002 at midnight.
Speakers:
We are finalizing a few speakers at the moment. More information will come when dates have been finalized
Reefs.org Items:
Order your fill of items now, before the logo changes! They will be
updated every year or two and likely not show up again.
How else will everyone at MACNA know you're an old salt? Not by your smile!
