How as the economy effected your reefkeeping habits?
I am spending more then ever.
I have not changed my reefkeeping habits.
I have reduced my livestock and drygood purchases.
I am postponing all purchases of all non-essential items.
I am quitting the hobby due to the economy.

This newsletter is to keep you abreast of the new happenings at We have been busy lately adding some new things.

We have added a Recommended reading and video section. The new section is organized in various topics that can be viewed with a simple click.


We have added a couple new Administrators to the crew. Us old folk, have been joined by Leonard Ho, Bill Grimlan, Shane Graber, Sang Lee and Wade Lehman. If you see them in the chat room and or in the discussion boards give them a hearty congratulations.


Yes, it's contest time. The goal of this new contest is to give you, our users, a shot at seeing your design on the webpage or on the back of a T-shirt. The current design as seen on the T-shirts, hats, mouse pads, and mugs is viewable at:

The main logo (the front logo as seen above) will remain the same, but we are in search of new and innovative designs for the back logo. We are aiming for a cartoon or other funny image although other designs will be considered.
The creator of the best image will receive a prize of a hat and T-shirt showing their design!

Here are the rules and guidelines:

  • Top 10 images submitted, as selected by the administrators, become property of .

  • Images must be at least 6 x 6 inches printable (approx 1300x1500 pixels).

  • If no images meet our standards, the best image turned in will still receive a prize, yet we may elect to use another image.

  • All entrants must be registered with the discussion board and include their username in their submission (give link to register.)

To enter, send your entry to as an attachment and put contest in subject line. Contest ends June 30, 2002 at midnight.
